Chuck’s Photo Spot is the online portfolio of Chicago based photographer Charles Janda.
Charles Janda completed his undergraduate studies in 1996, earning him a Bachelor of Science in Photography with a second major in Communications/Broadcasting from Western Illinois University.
In 1996 Janda moved back to Chicago to explore possible work in photography and broadcasting. He did freelance photo work for Pioneer Press in the western suburbs of Chicago while also working an internship for an ABC radio station.
With over two years of freelance photography done, Janda decided to persue a career in photography. In 1998 he took a digital imaging position with Oscar & Associates, Inc. Photography in Chicago. From this point he found that he was able to work in the post production end of digital photography while leaving time to do his own photography as he pleased.
Janda’s most recent work has been featured in various newspaper articles and in two documentary films. Currently Charles is still working at Oscar & Associates (Now Oscar Einzig Photographers) as a Staff Photographer and Digital Imaging Manager. He is steadily working on putting together several exhibitions of his work for display and a possible book.
